Medical research hasn't always seen you. We're changing that.

What is the All of Us Research Program?

    • The All of Us Research Program is a large research program.
    • The goal is to help researchers understand more about why people get sick or stay healthy.
    • If you decide to join the All of Us Research Program, you will be contributing to an effort to improve the health of generations to come. You also may learn about your own health.

Give Your Consent

Once you’ve created your account, you will be asked to give your consent. This includes reviewing a series of videos, which will provide more detailed information about the program. These describe all the types of information you may be asked to give. Once you feel comfortable that you know what to expect, and if you are ready to give your consent, you’ll electronically sign the consent form. You can do all of this from your computer, tablet, or smartphone, or at a partner center. (15 to 20 minutes)

Agree to Share Your Electronic Health Records

As part of the consent process, we will ask you to agree to share your electronic health records (EHR). Sharing your EHR is your choice. If you decide not to share your EHR, you can still participate by answering health surveys. But you will not be asked to take part in some other aspects of the program.

You may want to know this information or you may not. (15 to 20 minutes)

Why Should I Join?

If you join, you will be contributing to research that may improve health for everyone. Research may help develop:

  • Better tests to see if people are sick or are at risk of getting sick.
  • Better mobile apps to encourage healthy habits.
  • Better medicine or information about how much of a medicine is right for each person as an individual.

Also, you will be able to see your All of Us information, which might be interesting to you. If you choose, you will be able to share your All of Us information with your doctor.
